In 2020, decorated fighting game artist HIROAKI, lead character designer / artist for SNK's Buriki One, celebrated the game's 20th anniversary by redrawing the entire Buriki One roster in his superb art style. HIROAKI released a new illustration

New Arc System Works Fighting Game, Dungeon Fighter Duel Announced

Today, during Neople's Dungeon and Fighter Universe festival in South Korea, Arc System Works announced their latest 2D fighting game project: Dungeon Fighter Duel (DNF Duel for short), based on the Dungeon
Fighter Online series. DNF Duel will have a similar aesthetic to Granblue Fantasy Versus and Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, using a 3D graphics engine with 2D and anime-inspired visuals. Check out the official reveal trailer!

Dragon Ball FighterZ Adding 2 New Characters in 2021

Bandai Namco has unveiled the 2 remaining DLC characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3. On January 15th, 2021, Baby Vegeta will join DBFZ's roster in his ultimate state, Super Baby 2. The official
trailer for Super Baby 2 shows off the first gameplay of the new character and concludes by revealing the final DLC character of FighterZ Character Pass 3, Gogeta [SS4]. The release date for Gogeta [SS4] has not yet been announced.

SFV: Champion Edition's Dan Hibiki Delayed to February 2021

Originally slated for a Winter 2020 release, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition's Dan Hibiki has been
delayed to early next year. Capcom producer Shuhei Matsumoto confirmed the news via Twitter with a video message to fans. Matsumoto clarified the delay of Season 5's first character is due to the difficult working conditions amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Dan's new release window is February
2021.

This morning, Bandai Namco officially revealed series veteran Hwang Sung Kyung as SoulCalibur 6 Season 2's final DLC character. Hwang will join the game on December 2nd, 2020. Alongside Hwang, a new stage called "Motien Pass Ruins", Seong Mi-na's classic costume parts, and new story mode

mysterious silhouette that hints at the final SoulCalibur VI Season 2 character. At a glance, the silhouette seems to resemble SoulCalibur 4 final boss, Algol. However, as past silhouettes have proven... looks can be deceiving. Many fans are expecting the return of Hwang, whose name was found in the

Guilty Gear -STRIVE- Online Lobby / Avatar System Update & Scans from Famitsu

The GGStrive PS4 beta featured a lobby system with 2D avatars that got mostly negative reviews. Famitsu revealed Arc is keeping the lobby system for the final version, with some adjustments.
Online mode will also not have a staple "Ranked mode" like in most fighting games, but will feature the "skill floor" system introduced in the beta. Additionally, the PS5 version will have a Special Battle Mode that hints at a "Tag" or "Assist" feature.

Rambo Revealed for MK11 Alongside Mileena & Rain

The leaks were true. This morning, NRS announced guest character
Rambo along with returning characters Rain & Mileena as DLC for MK11's Kombat Pack 2 - arriving Nov. 17th. This will be the second time this year MK11 was given a title update, now called Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate. Additionally, a free upgrade of MK11 for PS5 and Xbox
