Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash Out Now in Japan, Coming Westward on April 15th

SFV: Champion Edition Spring Update Stream Revealing New Season 5 Info on April 6th

Capcom announced their Street Fighter V: Champion Edition
Spring Update livestream on April 6th, 2021 will reveal new info on upcoming Season 5 content. Director Takayuki Nakayama and Producer Shuhei Matsumoto will appear on stream to deliver the latest news. It's possible the stream will
show new footage of Rose, Oro, or maybe even Akira Kazama. The stream will air next Tuesday, April 6th at 3pm (PDT).

Arc System Works updated their availability of game modes for the upcoming Ultimate and Deluxe Editions of Guilty Gear STRIVE. Before, the
early access bonus only included Offline Modes, Story (Prologue) and 13 playable characters (excluding I-No and Anji). Now, early access will include full access to "all modes" including Online as well as all chapters of Story Mode, in addition to all 15 launch characters.

Ahead of Lidia Sobieska's release date tomorrow (March 23rd), Bandai Namco posted the full patch notes for Version 4.10 —
which is now available to download. Update 4.10 brings a variety of balance adjustments for several characters, including some nerfs for powerful characters like Fahkumram and Steve Fox. New features were also added to Player Match such as being able to share battle data in chat. Patch notes

Samurai Shodown 64 Prototype Discovered

The Hyper Neo Geo 64 was originally released in 1997
and was SNK's first and only hardware capable of rendering 3D graphics. It was originally meant to
be the successor of the Neo Geo MVS during the rise of 3D fighting games in the late 90's. Only a small handful of
games were created on the platform, Samurai Shodown 64 being one of them.
Recently, a machine repair specialist discovered a rare
prototype of SS64.

Tonight, Capcom announced the Capcom Pro Tour 2021 which will feature 32 online events across 19 territories with a prize pool of over $200,000. The CPT 2021 announcement
trailer also reveals new costumes, colors, and the new "Ring of Galaxy" stage. Like past CPT in-game content, this DLC helps fund the CPT prize pool. The winners of the online premiers will auto qualify for Capcom Cup 8 which will take place in early 2022.

Tonight, Arc System Works announced on Twitter that Guilty Gear -STRIVE- has been
delayed from April 9th, 2021 to June 11th, 2021. In the tweet, Arc System Works mentions they require extra time to polish some aspects of the game —
specifically the online lobbies and server stability. The development team also mentioned they received valuable feedback from beta participants and will use the extra time to improve the game's quality.

Autumn Games recently announced new character Annie for Skullgirls: 2nd Encore. This week, Autumn Games confirmed 3 additional characters will join Annie in Skullgirls: 2nd Encore's
Season Pass 1.
The Annie DLC will be released on Steam in Early March as "early access" followed by her final release in May 2021 (complete with her Story mode) on PS4 / Steam. The Digital Art Compendium and Soundtrack are also coming in March.

SNK has announced Muay Thai expert Joe Higashi for The King of Fighters XV. The old school Fatal Fury veteran, sporting his usual trademark traditional Muay Thai attire, shows off some of his special moves and combos in the latest KOF XV character

Capcom Confirms Rose Reveal for SFV: CE Livestream Feb. 11

Over the past several days, Capcom has been hyping up their upcoming SFV: Champion Edition livestream on February 11th. Alongside Dan Hibiki, Rose is the next Season 5 DLC character coming to the game this year. Today on Twitter, Capcom posted a tarot card-inspired
illustration of Rose (part of a set which came with some special editions of SFV:CE), confirming Rose will indeed be appearing in some form during the stream.

Following Gamespot's 9 minutes of new Guilty Gear -STRIVE- gameplay footage from earlier this week, Arc System Works posted three brand new match videos previewing the latest build of the game. The matches include: Sol-Badguy Vs.

KOF 2002: UM Now Available on PS4 with Rollback Netcode

SNK has released The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match on PlayStation 4 enhanced with rollback netcode. This "fully tuned up version" features the largest roster of characters in KOF history and plenty of modes such as
Challenge Mode with 50+ missions and Endless Mode (Survival). SNK posted a new
trailer to announce the release of the game on PS4 today.

Arc System Works announced an upcoming open beta test for Guilty Gear -STRIVE- taking place on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. open beta begins early on Feb. 17th (7pm PT).

SNK officially revealed series veteran Iori Yagami for KOF XV. The fourth KOF XV character trailer confirms Iori will retain his classic purple flames and many of his trademark special attacks. Though quick, the

KOF XV "Team Hero" Theme Song and Idle Stances

On Twitter, SNK recently shared a
preview of the first King of Fighters XV BGM theme song to give fans an early listen of the game's soundtrack. The track (titled "Under the Control of...") is the official theme of the newly revealed Team Hero — made up of Benimaru,
Shun'ei, and Meitenkun.
Additionally, SNK shared another tweet tonight showing off the KOF XV idle stance animations for each of the team members.

SFV: Champion Edition Winter Update News Coming Feb. 11

Today on Twitter, Capcom USA announced an upcoming livestream planned for February 11th (9am PST) will reveal new information on Street Fighter V: Champion Edition's Winter Update. Judging from the
tweet, it looks like we can expect new gameplay of Season 5's Dan Hibiki, details about the "new gameplay mechanic", and more. The SFV development team will also be accompanied by some (unannounced) special guests.

The King of Fighters 2000 Getting Physical PS4 Edition by Limited Run Games

Another fan-favorite KOF installment is getting a limited physical PlayStation 4 edition. Limited Run Games announced a beautiful PS4 boxed version of The King of Fighters 2000, SNK's first entry of the KOF series
from this millennium. KOF2000 is distinguished by its exciting Striker system, with two unique Striker characters available for each playable fighter. Pre-orders for the

Capcom Vs. Osamu Tezuka Artbook Coming in April 2021

Last Fall, we reported on the "Capcom Vs. Osamu Tezuka" characters exhibition event that took place in Takarazuka City, Hyogo, Japan. For the event, artists from both Capcom and Tezuka
drew special illustrations of characters from the opposite side (including Shinkiro, Bengus, Keisuke Mizuno, and Tsunogai). It's been announced that an official Capcom Vs. Osamu Tezuka
art book featuring these illustrations will be released in April.

Capcom Cup February 2021 Event Canceled, Now Online

Due to the worsening state of COVID-19, it's no surprise that Capcom made the decision to cancel their
Capcom Cup 2020 finale, a live event that was planned to take place in the Dominican Republic on Feb. 19th - 21st
. In their official statement, Capcom said they strongly believed they could've put on a safe event with
limited risk to attending players, but decided to change plans due to the rising spread of the global pandemic.

screenshots of the new 2021 Mortal Kombat movie surfaced online today. The film's director Simon McQuoid confirmed via Entertainment Weekly that the new MK film will have "blood, gore, and fatalities." Regarding the film's rating, McQuoid said "The rules around ratings

Today, Arc System Works director Minoru Kidooka announced a mobile RPG spin-off of Arc's other 2D fighting game franchise that isn't Guilty Gear... (yeah, BlazBlue). Developed by Linked Brain Co.,

Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture (1994) is a cult classic and easily one of the best fighting game anime adaptations ever made. One
of the most memorable aspects of the film is the incredible art direction, made possible by legendary Japanese anime director, Masami

During CES 2021, Arcade1Up revealed their latest
home arcade machines planned for release this year, including a Killer Instinct / Rare legacy cabinet that includes: Killer Instinct 1 and Killer Instinct 2, along with Battletoads and Battletoads / Double Dragon. Like other recent Arcade1up releases, these games will

SFV: Champion Edition Akuma x Garuda Crossover Costume

Joining Kairi, Hokuto, Blaire, and Skullomania... Garuda joins the line-up of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition x Fighting EX Layer crossover costumes. Akuma and Garuda faced off in the original Street Fighter EX, so it makes sense that Akuma will acquire Garuda's appearance in SFV.
The Akuma x Garuda crossover costume becomes available in SFV:CE's Extra Battle starting Tuesday, January 12th, 2021. Check out the official

KOF 2002: UM Coming to PS4 with Rollback Netcode

During the KOF XV reveal, SNK announced a new version of The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match is coming
to PS4. With 66 combatants, KOF2002: UM boasts the largest character roster in the series
history and is still a fan-favorite for competitive players. The
PS4 version will include Rollback Netcode to reduce online latency along with "rearranged" graphics and music. The PS4 version also has Challenge Mode with 50+ missions and Endless (Survival) Mode.

After postponing their KOF XV reveal yesterday, SNK uploaded a
trailer for The King of Fighters XIV: Ultimate Edition —
a "complete" version of the game with all DLC content releasing on PlayStation 4 this month. The digital version releases in Europe today, with a physical version releasing Spring 2021. The digital version hits North America Jan.
20th, 2021. KOF XIV: Ultimate Edition includes 8 DLC Characters, 10 DLC Costumes, and 10 PS4 Home Themes.

Capcom Releases 2021 Video Policy for Content Creators

Today, Capcom posted their new
Video Policy for fans planning to create content, videos, or livestreams containing material from Capcom games. Capcom's list of guidelines is similar to
that of YouTube or Twitch, but may now impact creators who lock content behind Patreon (for example), post gameplay without commentary, or post videos containing PC mods that Capcom deems inappropriate.
